So glad to see a new place open at this location and is actually good and affordable. The pizza came out great and was cooked perfectly. My fiance and I were able to split a pizza and that was perfect for us. Pizza is super affordable for Detroit style pizza. We will be back soon! I was also surprised that we had a bit of a wait on a Tuesday evening so maybe call ahead if you are in a hurry.
If you’re looking for a pizza spot that surprises your palate in the best way, Drop Top is it. I had the mushroom pizza and was blown away from the very first bite. The flavor was rich, earthy, and deeply satisfying but what really stood out was the subtle brightness of fresh lemon zest. It cut through the richness in the most refreshing way, elevating the entire experience. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every slice. Drop Top doesn’t just make pizza, they craft unforgettable flavor combinations.
We tried this for the first time yesterday, and liked it so much that we came back today! We had the Super Sport pizza, which was delicious! Caramelized cheese all around, fresh ricotta and tasty sausage. Today we went for the smash burgers, so good! Excellent char on the burgers, with plentiful toppings (we had the olive burger, and mushroom swiss, which was a weekly special). Also very much enjoyed the stuffed pepper appetizer. The milkshakes are to die for!! Boozy PB&J with Skrewball peanut butter whiskey…SO yummy! Also loved the strawberry cheesecake shake, and the Oreo mint for St. Paddy’s. Such great customer service as well (shout out to Melissa!), I know this will become one of our regular stops!

Our first time at DropTop and the food was delicious! This is legit, super fresh and creative Detroit Style Pizza. Burgers and fries were also a hit!
DropTop is a wonderful addition to Saline, and arguably one of the best Detroit style pizzas outside of Detroit itself. I really liked the riffs on classic toppings that were elevated but not overly fancified. The service from Melissa at the bar was also top notch; fast, attentive, and knowledgeable! We started with the broccolini that had a great char and was delicious with a squeeze of the char grilled lemon. After that we moved into the Super Sport Pizza and the Michigan Olive Burger. I've eaten my fair share of olive burgers and this is basically as good as it gets, high quality castelvetrano olives, the right amount of mayo made it so crushable. The super sport pizza has: sausage, caramelized onions, calabrian chili, ricotta, parm and marinara. I love the hit of heat and the subtle fruitiness from the calabrian chilis. The dough itself was the biggest star of the evening! The crust was super airy, and fluffy with a great crunch on the bottom and the perfect amount of cheese on the sides. I can't wait to get back to DropTop!
We ordered a little bit of everything to share family style and it was SO good. We liked the pizzas, the burgers, and the milkshakes are a MUST. The smash burger was the best I’ve ever had with a super crispy lace on the edges. The sauces were very rich and everything had so much flavor. Definitely give this a try.
My partner and I went here for my birthday. We both enjoyed our pizzas the Queen Margherita, Notorious C.A.P and the dipsticks as a starter and it was all amazing. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be back and recommend this wonderful place to others.
